Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Zanussi Refrigerator.
Internal Cleaning
Clean the inside and all accessories with warm water and bicarbonate of soda (5 ml to 0.5 litre of water). Rinse and dry thoroughly. Do not use detergents, abrasive powders, highly perfumed cleaning products, or wax polishes, as these will damage the surface and leave a strong odor.
External Cleaning
Clean the outer casing of the appliance with warm water and a little washing-up liquid. Avoid using kitchen surface cleaners containing chemicals that can attack or damage the plastics used in the appliance.
Dust Accumulation Prevention
Ensure the appliance is switched off. Once or twice a year, dust the condenser (black grill) and the compressor at the back of the appliance with a brush or vacuum cleaner to maintain performance and prevent excessive electricity consumption.
Door Gasket Maintenance
If the ambient temperature is cold, the gasket may not fit perfectly to the cabinet. Allow the natural fitting of the gasket or accelerate this process by gently heating the part involved with a normal hairdryer on a low setting.
Automatic Defrosting
The appliance is designed to be frost-free, meaning there is no need to manually defrost as it will be carried out automatically.
